More than 130 exhibitors and 1,500 projects were present at the 18th edition held from August 8 to 11 at Corferias, highlighting the latest trends and opportunities in the real estate sector.

Bogotá, August 2024. From August 8 to 11, the Real Estate Grand Hall, organized by the Lonja de Propiedad Raíz of Bogotá and the Bogotá International Business and Exhibition Center – Corferias, offers an exceptional opportunity to explore a wide variety of real estate offers and projects. This event is the ideal meeting point for the main market players, giving attendees the chance to discover the latest trends and developments in the sector.

With more than 130 national and international exhibitors, the fair showcased nearly 1,500 projects, including eco-friendly housing options and suburban developments. In addition, countries such as Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Panama participated.

It is worth noting that, according to DANE, in the first quarter of 2024, 45,888 housing units were started, representing an increase of 3.6% compared to the immediately previous quarter. Of the total units started, 40,938 were allocated to apartments and 4,950 to houses.

Of the total units started, 30,301 were allocated to VIS-type housing (27,278 to apartments and 3,023 to houses) and 15,887 to non-VIS housing (13,660 to apartments and 1,927 to houses).

On the other hand, the outlook for the sector’s reactivation is promising, thanks to the reduction of mortgage rates by up to 10%, which has driven an increase in real estate sales in 2024.
